Dancin' a jig!!!

Have you ever done that? Dance a jig?  Yeah, well, me either. . . but I totally could!!!!!!!!!!

I want to introduce you to my absolute favorite song on the face of the planet:

"He never promised that the cross would not get heavy and the hill would not be hard to climb. He never offered our victories without fighting but he said help would always come in time.
JUST REMEMBER WHEN YOU’RE STANDING IN THE VALLEY OF DECISION AND THE ADVERSARY SAYS GIVE IN…
Just hold on, our Lord will show up!!!! And he will take you through the fire again."

Today I am proud to tell you that Matt was offered, and he accepted, a job as instructor of flight at Spartan - just two weeks after finishing school!!!!

The number of "valleys of decisions" that we came to in this process is overwhelming - and the many times we almost turned back are countless. . .but God DID show up - EVERY TIME!!!

I am so very thankful and so happy to share this part of our lives with you!!!!!!!! :)

Today - I say "CONGRATULATIONS" to the love of my life!  I couldn't be more proud to walk this life at your side!!!! :)

Who, or What, are you listening to???

I've been working on this post for a while. . . . it's been on my heart and I couldn't quite make it make sense.  So - here's hoping it finally makes sense. :)

"The reason we struggle with insecurity is because we compare our behind-the-scenes with everyone else's highlight reel." - Steve Furtick

How many of you just yelled "AMEN!"  :)

What about. . .
"Comparison is the thief of joy." - Theodore Roosevelt

When looking for the author of the last quote, I stumbled upon THIS blog post.  She said exactly what I was going to say - only better.

We're so overwhelmed by the 1,000,000 images we see daily telling us how we should look, feel, breath, smell and eat. . . . when all we really need to know - and TRULY KNOW - are these few things - all of which can easily be found or made to place around you - to replace the negative and overwhelmingly condemning images:

". . . I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for."  - Jeremiah 29:11 - The Message

"Many plans are in a man's mind, but it is the Lord's purpose for him that will stand."  - Proverbs 19:21

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?  Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?  So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. - Matthew 6: 25-34

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.   For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. - Matthew 6:19

Her children respect and bless her; her husband joins in with words of praise: "Many women have done wonderful things, but you've outclassed them all!"  Charm can mislead and beauty soon fades.
The woman to be admired and praised is the woman who lives in the Fear-of-God. - Proverbs 31:28-30

Be the best YOU that YOU can be!!!!
I love you all - thank you for listening. :)
