Words of Wisdom

Just a glimpse into an amazing conversation had in my living room last night - it was a great evening!!!!!

Jesus opened our prison - He is the key, and He opened it for us.  It is up to us whether or not we leave it.

Just a few reasons one might not leave:
--Pride - sometimes leaving the prison means admitting that you allowed something or someone (even yourself) to hold you captive in that prison
--Fear - oftentimes what is familar is easier.  Think of an inmate of 35 years, set free, only to wind back up in prison because the outside, unfamilar world is too tough to manage.  BE BRAVE!!!
--Lack of knowing who you are in Christ - not having the Truth in you (remember - the Truth set you free) and believing you don't deserve to be free is a sure way to stay in bondage (and is also a bit prideful).

What prison have you been trying to leave?  Walk out of it!!!!!!!!  Don't allow lies, deception, conceit, pride, fear, and ignorance keep you there.  The door has already been opened - Truth is what sets you free - Jesus IS Truth.  He doesn't just resemble truth; He's not just the speaker of truth; He IS truth.

Leaving this ridiculous prison,
Laura
